Church Planting is one of the most powerful methods of bringing spiritual revival in the African context. The project is sought transcending time and space with the foremost endeavor.
We welcome those who are filled with godly passion to launch a church that saves many lives. Future church planters are assisted, cared and served until they fulfill their given commission to set up the healthy and multiplying church.
1. What is “Church Planting”?
Jesus used the term “ecclesia” in Matthew 16:18, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
Church Planters aim to launch permanently multiplying and life-saving congregations as communities of worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ. In order to truly fulfill Lord’s Great Commission, setting up churches is an indispensable task to nurture individuals, establish and perpetuate Gospel history in all local areas. It builds home both for spiritual and physical activities to realize the Gospel in all levels of life.
Church is founded on firm confessions of faith towards Jesus and expressed in united and harmonious ways through diverse programs.
Church Planters are those who follow calling of the Lord for one of the most significant projects in building God’s Kingdom.
2. How to become a Church Planter
First Step: Calling
Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) Every believer is called to practice and perform what Jesus commanded in this verse and give their lives to the commitment to God’s Kingdom.
Church Planting takes the greatest part of the fulfillment of the Great Commission the Lord declared. It is universal and common to all Christians, yet, each individual should integrate their lives with their personal will and conviction.
If you feel God is calling you to plant a church, speak with your pastor or minister of your church. They will help you further your will to serve God by the introduction of diverse programs which assist future church planters.
Second Step: Training
Olivet Assembly is affiliated with several ministries and fellowship organizations to accomplish its collective vision for God’s Kingdom in North America. One of strategic partnership is offering programs formulated by Olivet Leadership Institute.
