We humans are so weak, sometimes we even lose the power to pray. Without prayer, we get disconnected with God, and we become trapped in sin. But the Bible tells us, we have an intercessor, which is the Holy Spirit, He intercedes for us when we lose even the strength to cry out for help. Jesus Christ is also our intercessor. That’s how much God loves us.
Only with the power of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome our sinful habits and nail them to the cross. “By the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” (Romans 8:3) “The flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do whatever you want.” (Galatians 5:17)
It is wisdom to seek the Holy Spirit always on the path of sanctification. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we will definitely fail. The Holy Spirit comes to us when we read the Word of God, study it, pray, especially when we gather together to give service and pray together. So this is wisdom.
May all the ministers seek the Holy Spirit daily to overcome their sinful habits and become “more than conquerors” in their daily walk with God!
