Revival church held Sunday service on 21st March. They were encouraged not to lose faith in God because in Him all things are possible. Just like He made a way for Hannah, He also can make a way for them.
The Bible study was given by Brother Kelly which was about salvation from the book of Romans 1:16-17. Apostle Paul starts by telling everyone that he has confidence in the Gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to anyone who believes. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that one can be saved.
John 3:16 tells us how God gave His Son making a way for people to be saved if only they believe. Peter confirmed that it is only through Jesus can one be saved by his address to the Sanhedrin in Acts 4:12 saying, ‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.’
The sermon was given by brother Matthew from the book of 1 Samuel 1, which was about the story of how Hannah who ever had a child received the first fruit of her womb, and according to the vow she made to she dedicated him to the Lord. Hannah with so much sorrow in her for her rival Peninnah provoked her severely went into the temple of God and prayed to ask God to remember her. She then made a vow saying, ‘If you give your maidservant a male child then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life and no razor shall come upon his head’.
The Lord remembered Hannah and she gave birth to a male child making the impossible to be possible. Do not lose your faith in God no matter what kind of circumstances they are in, for it is only He who can make a way even if it seems like there is no way.
Intern Pastor Joanna concluded by edging the people to always have faith when they pray to God for he always hears them. After Hannah prayed, the Bible tells us that she went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. From here, we can see faith, she believed that God heard that is why her face was no longer sad. We also need to always believe whenever we ask for anything from God for the Bible also tells us that if we have faith, we will receive but if we doubt, we will not receive.
