On 21st February, Gratia Church held a Sunday service. The Word of God was shared by intern pastor Peter about the meaning of the death of Jesus Christ to us from 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 1:18-24.
This time of lent is a very important moment in the Christian doctrine to remember the meaning of death and suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross. The cross is the love of God to humanity and redemption.
The main reason why Jesus Christ came on earth was to die for our sins so that we can have eternal life. The death of Jesus Christ was a replacement or substitution for our death because we are sinners and we were destined to face death which is everlasting punishment, but through the death of Jesus Christ, we are saved from sin and death.
There are two important moments we remember and celebrate which are the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are not wiping but celebrating over the victory over sins and sin has no power over us. This time we need to meditate deeply about the meaning of death and resurrection.
