Gracia Church’s first Sunday service held with eight people including Mr. William. Peter shared the word of God about the faith of Bartimaeus from Mark 10:46- 52.
When Bartimaeus heard about Jesus Christ moving along the road he cried with a loud voice to call the name Jesus with revelation and conviction from his heart. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. People tried to stop him calling upon Jesus but Jesus stood and answered him.
This story teaches us that one should consistently ask God in prayer and anyone who asks, finds, and knocks, the door opens for one.
The preacher said, “On the way of our Christianity, there are things which compete ourselves. We need to try to fight but also we should not lose focus and direction from where we are going. The direction is more important despite whether we are slow or fast.”
Without Faith, it is impossible to please God. Sometimes one does face difficulties in life but one needs to stand boldness in faith and ask God for direction and mercy upon one.
