OA Africa Conference Shares Mission Direction & Development of Church Structure

Olivet Assembly Africa leaders had an online conference and shared developments of mission direction according to online platform changes. Missionary James shared the meaning of the four new editorial changes of Verenet. He also shared a message of the prayer of Jesus from John 17.

He updated participants on the four Verenet editions of WOA, Churches, WEFs, and Schools, explaining that the online platform-categories are showing the structure of the ministries. He directed OA Africa leaders to know where they are located in these structures, as the community is moving forward to make these structures in 2020.

The church and ministries shall have a vision as written in Psalm 110:3 ‘your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb’. Also he shared to have three focuses for the developments of mission; first, to know the mission identity they belong to, second, to know the mission purpose of their work, and third, to ensure mission growth to keep moving forward.

He shared to find identity from the meaning of ‘sent’ from John 17:18. The mission work is to preach Jesus Christ, (2 Cor 4:5), as there is the same meaning of ”to know Him and to make Him Known’. For the growth of mission, leaders need to practice salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12), and have unity of faith and knowledge of the son of God, becoming mature and growing to the head who is Christ in the body of Christ (Eph 4:13).

He also shared that the last prayer Jesus prayed is for oneness in Christ for the disciples. The separation came when the son requested for ‘my share’ in Luke 15. But the father said ‘everything I have is yours’. Jesus showed this level of life from John 17:10, but the Jews killed Jesus because he called himself ‘the Son of God’. They did not know Jesus was one with God, yet Jesus lived a life to glorify God and died to obey God..
