Revival Church held Sunday service on April 26, 2020, at Olivet high school with a total of 18 members in attendance. They were encouraged about the salvation which comes by grace through faith in Jesus and not works.
The sermon was given by Brother Gusto from the book of Ephesians 2:8-9, it says, ‘for it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it.”
the preacher explained the reason why people need salvation and he said it is because man has been put under the curse of death which came as a result of the sin of one man who is Adam, “when Adam sinned after he disobeyed God’s command, sin entered and all humans were condemned to death,” “the death is not physical death but it is the spiritual death.”
“but by the grace of God which was as a result of love, He sent His son Jesus to die for us,” “it is through His sacrifice that we have been justified,” “through His death we also dead to sin and through His resurrection we were raised to righteousness,” he shared.
“I am very happy to be part of this service and I thank God for me being here today.” “Through today’s word I have realized that I can only be saved by faith in Jesus and not by my works,” “this shows that truly I do not have anything to boast about,” mama Sarah shared after the conclusion of the service.
