Revival Church on January 26, 2020, had a service. There was much joy as members testified grace received. 27 people were gathered as they were encouraged to have faith in the Lord. Even in situations that seems hopeless.
The bible study was led by brother Tresphod, OTM leader Zambia from the book of Isaiah 35:1-4 which describes the joy of the redeemed. Tresphod explains how the bible tells us how both man and the whole universe will rejoice after been glorified. “The deserts and the parched land will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Camel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of Our God.” It continues saying, “strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you”.
“How joyful this will be”, “the universe shouting for joy as it will be free from the pain has it was subjected to frustration according to Romans 8:20”, “humans are subjected to pain and suffering starting from child birth including when looking for food”. “but this time will be a time of great joy”, “when the glory of the Lord will be revealed”, “the splendor of our God we shall see on that day”, “the weak will be strengthened, the blind will see, the lame will leap like the deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy and nothing will stop the deaf ears from hearing”. “this is the time of no harm no destroy”, “where no lions, nor any ravenous beast will be found there but only the redeemed will walk there, verse 9”, he shared.
The sermon was led by Revival Church leader Gusto from the book of Genesis 18:1-15. It was entitled, ‘God above impossibilities’. He explained that God blessed Abraham and gave him the name of father of all nations because of his faith. “One day the Lord appeared to Abraham in form of three men who he invited for food and drinks”, “it was at their coming when a child was promised to him”, “but his wife, Sarah laughed when she thought to herself how old her husband and her were”, “but they asked, ‘is there anything too hard for the Lord?”, “I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son”, the bible says.
“Faith is the evidence of things unseen, Hebrews 11:1”, “biologically, it is impossible for a woman of Sarah’s age to have a child”, “even Sarah knew this that is why she laughed”, “she knew she was too old to bore a son also was Abraham”. “But Abraham although knowing that according to human nature it is impossible”, “he had faith in the Lord that he will do what he says”, “this is why it is said in the bible that he had hope against all hope”. “When the life circumstance was hopeless it was the time that God came in”. “Through his faith he was given the promised son at the appointed time”, he explained.
“just like Abraham, we too need no other evidence to prove what God has said upon our lives will surely come to pass at the appointed time of God. “Let us just continue showing love to others and the favor of the Lord will surely come upon us”, he concluded.
