Nairobi Gratia Church Sunday Service Taught Being Prepared for the Last days

Gratia church Sunday Service was held on January 12th from 10am. Pastor Thomas shared the message from the book of Luke 17:20-37.

He said, “The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with our careful observation. But it will come to our heart. We need to live being prepared for the last days. At the Noah’s time, people were eating and drinking and marrying. They were focusing on the physical life on the earth without any attention for the spiritual life and God. So they were suddenly destroyed. God will judge us with fire(2 peter 3:7) at the last time. So we need to be prepared and awakened to know God and do His will in our lives.”

Revival Church on the other hand also had a very graceful service as Missionary James was able to visit them in his visitation to Olivet High School. The sermon came from the book of Matthew 6:9-10. The preacher Pastor James, explained how we can prayer to God according to the teaching of Jesus about prayer. “This, then, is how you should pray: “our father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth ass it is in heaven. Give us our daily bread.” the bible states.

“We do not know how to pray”, “there are prayers that are good some are not good”, “but Jesus is teaching so that we can know how to pray in the right way”, “Jesus prayed this prayer not for himself, but for us to learn how to pray”, he said.

He explained that we need first to know who we are praying to, that is why Jesus started by saying, ‘our father who is in heaven. “The relationship between us and God is a love relationship”, “he is our father and we are his children”. “If we know who God is then we can be able to pray to him with confidence”.

“As Christians we need to do two things for God”, “we need to glorify him and we need to work for his kingdom”, “verse 10 says, ‘hallowed be your name, your kingdom come'”, “people who do not know God do not know how to glorify him”, “but we know him therefore we need to glorify him for who he is”. “After glorifying his name and praying for his kingdom to come then we can pray for our personal desire”, he shared.
