Kenya Gratia Church Sunday Service urging ‘Live with the hope in God’

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2020, Nairobi Gratia church had a Sunday Service online. Pastor Thomas shared the message starting from Heb 11:1,6 about “Faith”.

Faith is believing something invisible. God is invisible so we need to have faith. According to our life of faith, God will reward us differently, so we are hoping for the eternal blessing of God.

Verse 11-16 is saying about the faith of the ancestors, they didn’t see the fulfillment of the promise but they were living the life of faith until the end of their lives. Then God blessed them and their name could remain greatly. And God surely fulfilled his promise later. If we live with faith like these ancestors, God will bless us and glorify us.

Psalms 84:10 says, “Better is one day in your court rather than elsewhere in the world.” The author knew a better and wise way. If we follow the wicked way of the world then we will be controlled in the darkness. Instead, we can live with a conviction in God.

Romans 8:25 -We need to hope for blessings, we need to hope for salvation and it is not yet completed. So we need to wait for it with patience praying to God. Then God will fulfill his will through our lives.

Luke 8:15 says the seed in the good field will have fruits as it keeps with persevering in God. So let’s not be discouraged or terrified in the problems.

Jeremiah 3:3 says “Call to me, I’ll show you great and unsearchable things what you don’t know.” God talked to Jeremiah when he was in prison in Israel. People didn’t believe in his prophecy and were against him. Though he was in that kind of situation, God said “Call to me”, when we are in this suffering world, we shouldn’t lose hope but God is with us. God knows our names, our needs, our situation. So we can call on God and pray to God with faith. Then God will give us the true joy and peace in God and we wouldn’t just suffer in this world, but God will guide us and fulfill His Will through our lives.
